At Market Lavender, we have a passion for lavender and creating the very best products possible. We are constantly experimenting with ideas in order to offer new products to our customer.

In contrast to many large commercial lavender farms in the area, we are a small local farm only 30 minutes from the Market. Greg Moring began baking about 15 years ago. At first, he was inspired by his father, who was a member of a baking club called The Crusty Loafers. Greg's dad encouraged him to learn his methods and try his recipes for white breads and rolls that were family favorites. As a teenager Greg's family lived in Germany and he fell in love with the rustic Landbot or farmer rye bread served in restaurants and Bier Stubes. He could not find this type of bread anywhere in the States and decided to bake his own in his little wood-fired clay pizza oven in his backyard.

As he shared his creations with friends and family he was encouraged to make more and more bread. He quickly grew out of his pizza oven and recently replaced the oven with a Alan Scott-style wood-fired brick oven and started baking his own recipes for heartier artisan breads. So, he's carrying on the Crusty Loafer's tradition in Greenwood. Some Like it Hott's peppers are smoked or dried in small batches. They are never heated above 105 degrees, and qualify as 'live food'. These specialty, small-batch paprikas are sent all over the world, many times through visitors who have discovered them at local farmers markets. The Brewmaster's Bakery is a small batch, beer-themed bakery born out of a family's love for beer, brewing and baking! It all started for about three years ago when founder, Marley Rall, witnessed her husband, Garrett, and brother-in-law, Justin, homebrew. There was something very comical listening to the brotherly 'love' - aka bickering - while creating something so wonderful-smelling and tasting.

This got Marley's brain turning, how could she get involved without butting in? After talking with Justin about the dilemma he suggested that she should use the spent grains from the beer to bake dog treats. And that's where it all began.

In August of 2016, the Brewmaster's Bakery opened a storefront and taproom in Renton, WA called The Brewmaster's Taproom. Stacey began painting and creating her own hand-painted clothing designs as a way of supporting herself through college in Santa Monica.

From a small artist booth on the boardwalk to a thriving specialty business across the Greek Islands, she now calls Seattle home where she has been a crafter with the Pike Place Market for over 12 years. Her acrylic on canvas characters are a joyful collection of animals inspired by her love of nature. These characters are also available as giclee prints and as unique, one-of-a-kind, hand-painted clothing. My creative inspiration comes from the beauty I find in the natural world, the innocence of animals, the joy in simple pleasures, the importance of love, friendship, community and compassion. It is the essence of these things I hope to convey through my art. Quite honestly, I paint what I love. My art is often described as heart-smiling, colorful, enchanting and happy. I use watercolors, acrylics, oil pastels, pen and ink, colored pencils etc.

Most of my originals are painted on wood panel, pressed board, stretched canvas or paper. I also offer prints of my originals in various sizes. Business owner, designer, and hand-maker, Mia, chooses every aspect of each design personally. When possible all of Ravel & Unravel's materials are USA-made and locally sourced. Ravel & UnRavel was founded in 2013 as Blackwood Fiber Company with the intention of creating vibrant and unique pieces of wearable art made by a real person with real materials. Mia’s manufacturing techniques are self-taught—a single piece of knitwear is crafted on manually operated, vintage knitting machines and then seams are hand-sewn together to create the finished product. Patterns are a mixture of vintage and the individual creations of Mia herself, and unique details like pom-poms and color-combinations are hand-crafted and individually selected for each piece.

We began as a publisher of books on contemporary Japan, expanded to include New Orleans after the levees broke, and soon we'll be turning our eye to China. 'Chin Music' is a play on Mark Twain's phrase describing a preacher's sweet way of talking, and a baseball term for a high pitch that backs a batter away from the plate. With that in mind, our books would not only be risky, they would be beautiful. Designers Craig Mod and Josh Powell employed Japanese aesthetics to create “literary objects” — books that are a pleasure to touch as well as read. NPR describes them as “a triumphant kick in the pants for anyone who doubts the future of paper-and-ink books.”.

There's really no definitive answer to this question. It depends on how you like your bacon and how thick it is cut. Just put it on and keep an eye on it. You'll soon get a fe el for how long it takes. Well I like it a bit crispy, so I set it the highest setting and let it cook on each side for about 6 min each side, comes out great a bit crispy, also I take the bacon grease, and pour it in a pot and boil it, then put it in the fridge, people pay for that stuff, when it turns white you can use it for frying instead of oil saves money.
