At the end of your technical training they pump you through a 9-day Sec+ boot camp where you set through a horrible instructor's lecture on the broadly boring material and read your books in prep for the exam. During the last week the teacher passed around a flash drive that he claimed had some practice questions on it The flash drive had a PDF and answer sheets of what appeared to be practice questions with the watermark 'Test King' on many of the questions. Later I found that teachers were rated based on their pass-rates so although I don't agree with his actions I can understand why he did it.

I was young and stupid and had never heard of 'Test King' so I just assumed it was a practice-test company and went on my merry way looking over the questions for a couple of hours each afternoon and brushing up on the material I missed. On the final day I sat down to take the exam. The screen popped up and I clicked through the prompts and began the test. I assumed the first few questions were similar to the practice exams but after the 6th or 7th questions I realized that the instructor had blatantly handed us the test answers during class. I finished up the exam with some stupid score of 98% or something as did pretty much everyone else. At the time I didn't care, I didn't tell anyone about it but I knew what I had inadvertently done.

Since than I have passed a number of exams using an honest study method and I can assure anyone who has ever considered cheating it is simply NOT WORTH IT. Sure there is the whole 'What if you get asked about it in an interview' and stuff, but in reality the reason you shouldn't cheat is because you're robbing yourself of the knowledge and the feeling of joy you get when you reach a goal you have worked hard for. I'm confident I would have passed my Sec+ exam even if I hadn't cheated (the material is honestly very easy and shallow looking back), but knowing that the exam was a guaranteed pass left me feeling empty after I had finished the test. In contrast the overwhelming feeling of joy i felt when I finished my final CCNA and CCNP exam was amazing! I left the testing centre feeling like a million bucks, ready to fuck some networks up and apply to every networking job I could find! TL;DR You shouldn't cheat because when you do you've accomplished absolutely nothing and you will know you have accomplished nothing. Honestly passing an exam you've worked hard for months on is a fantastic feeling from which you are robbing yourself if you decide to take the less honest path.

This is just a personal experience I wanted to share with you guys. Hopefully It prevents someone from robbing themselves of valuable knowledge and experience. While I have used Pass4sure at times.

I have had to pay for it by missing Really good opportunities. Cisco was hiring and required a CCNP for the position. I was working on my switch labs at the time. My work allows us limited remote access to the lab. I jumped at the oppertunity and I was in 5 months already on my switch studies. Thought I could just skip the labs and get it right get it tight with P4S.

Did I get ripped a new one on the second round of interviews. 1st round was I think personality and some basic technical stuff.

Second round was more indepth and I just was not prepared to for an indepth STP and different port modes. Never again P4S, a cert is only as good as the knowledge you can retain from solid studying. P4S, helps you get the cert but, when its crunch time. NOTHING. Any tech interviewer that can't sniff out a liar shouldn't be doing tech interviews.

Resume claims CCIE, but no number? Resume claims he's an MPLS genius? Ask questions about multicast VPNs, VPLS and EVPN, or perhaps the difference between RD and RT. Ask what a route reflector is and why you might want to have them. Ask about MAC learning and tech that allows you to avoid spanning tree. Asking questions like those will generally eliminate pretenders quickly.
